The Landscape Alley is a recreation area in the heart of Kyiv, located on the historic place of the ancient defensive ramparts of the Upper Town, which spread over the ravine of the Gonchari tract. The alley was created in 1982 to celebrate the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv and has since become a favorite place for walks for Kyiv residents and visitors. Since 2009, thanks to the sculptures by Konstantin Skretutsky, the Landscape Alley has become a real open-air art space. The fairy-tale characters that decorate the alley have already become symbols of this place: huge centipede cats stretching along the alley, fountain elephants, giant sparrows and other amazing creatures.
