"Volodymyrska Hill" Park

"Volodymyrska Hill" (Volodymyrska Hirka) is a park in Kyiv, located in the historical part of Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district. The area is 16.9 hectares, according to other data, it is 10.6 hectares. Since 1972, the park has been a monument of landscape art of national importance. On the lower terrace of the hill stands Kyiv's oldest sculptural monument, which was erected in 1853. This 4.4-meter bronze statue of Volodymyr the Great is positioned on a 16-meter pedestal. The park also has two gazebos (Kokorevsky), small park sculptures, and a sculptural composition dedicated to Dante. The northern part features the funicular, while the Ukrainian House is located in the southern part. On May 26, 2019, the Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge was officially opened, connecting Volodymyrska Hill Park with Khreshchatyi Park.
