The Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, is a significant landmark for Kyiv's Roman Catholic community. Its name, "Mother of the Church," refers to the title given to the Mother of God by Pope Paul VI during the Second Vatican Council. This Capuchin church in Kyiv is notably the first Roman Catholic church situated on the left bank of the Dnipro River. It stands out with its modern architecture, a style influenced by the relatively recent development of the left bank area since the 1960s. Operating as a parish church, it aims to serve all Roman Catholics. Several parish groups and communities are active here, including the Secular Franciscan Order, Circles of the Living Rosary, and Domestic Church. Services with children's participation are held every Sunday. A monastery for the Capuchin Friars Minor is currently under construction next to the church.
