The origins of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary trace back to 2000, when a bishop from the Order of Friars Minor consecrated both a chapel in Pozniaky and the ground intended for the church's construction. Construction of the main edifice began in 2005. The new religious complex has been home to "Radio Maria" since 2010 and the Catholic Media Center since 2012. While liturgies currently take place in the lower church, the primary (upper) sanctuary is still under construction. Additionally, the parish organizes engaging catechetical sessions for children, designed as games and fun activities.
