Kyiv National Academic Theater of Operetta (Kyiv Operetta) is an operetta theater in Kyiv. Organized in 1934 as the State Theater of Musical Comedy of the Ukrainian SSR, from 1966 the theater was called the Kyiv State Theater of Operetta, from 2004 – the Academic Theater, in 2009 the theater was granted the national status. The theater is located in the building of the former Trinity People’s House, built at the beginning of the 20th century for charitable funds. Today, alongside traditional operettas, the theater stages musicals, musical dramas, choreographic performances, and show programs.
