The Church of the Annunciation of the Holy Mother of God - a temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, formerly a student hall of the old Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, where congregations and elections to positions in the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy took place. Built in 1732 according to the design of Ukrainian architect of German origin, J. H. Schedel, it served as a venue for ceremonial gatherings and elections to academic positions. The Church of the Annunciation is a rectangular hall at the eastern end of the academic building. Architecturally, the church is done in the Baroque style, featuring a rectangular hall and a dome characteristic of the period. Today, the church is not only a religious center but also a vital part of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy's history.
