The National Museum "Kyiv Art Gallery" (Kyiv National Picture Gallery) is a museum of fine arts in Kyiv, established in 1917. One of the most prominent art museums of Ukraine, which in 2022 celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation. The museum is not only one of the oldest museums in Kyiv, but also one of the most beloved. Its collection is one of the richest among the art museums of Ukraine. It includes more than 14,000 works of painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied art. Its collection, displayed in more than 30 halls, includes invaluable artifacts such as icons and decorative art pieces gathered by renowned Kyiv philanthropists Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko. The museum's exhibitions acquaint visitors with the history of painting and the evolution of art in Ukraine.
