Museum of Money of the National Bank of Ukraine, opened on March 24, 2004, is located in the NBU building in Kyiv. Its collection, which includes numismatic and bonistic exhibits, covers the monetary circulation in Ukraine from ancient times to the present day. The museum contains materials that reflect the history of the hryvnia and other banknotes that were in circulation in Ukraine, particularly during the times of Kyivan Rus, the Cossack era, and the period of the Ukrainian People's Republic. The museum's stained-glass windows illustrate important stages of Ukrainian history and show various forms of money from the Bronze Age to the modern hryvnia.
