The Hetman Museum

The Hetman Museum is a state cultural and educational institution dedicated to preserving the material and spiritual heritage related to the history and traditions of the the Cossack State, known as the Hetmanate. Founded in 1993, the museum is located in a renovated building in Podil, referred to as "Mazepa's House". The museum aims to cultivate a sense of national identity among its visitors through the exploration of Ukrainian history and culture. It has a collection of over 9,000 exhibits, including unique items belonging to notable figures such as Hetman Pavlo Soropadskyi and Symon Petliura, along with numerous contributions from Ukrainians living abroad. The Hetman Museum serves as a gateway to understanding the fascinating history of the Hetmanate and its heroes.
