Revenue House of Bilenkiy

The revenue house of merchant Moisey Bilenky was built on the corner of Oleksandrivska and Troitska streets in 1909. It was built in the style of late modernism, which was very popular in the early 20th century.

The name of the architect who designed the building is unknown. In Oleksandrivsk, due to high prices for design work, it was common to commission only facade designs from architects in the capital. Other sections of the project were executed by local engineers and technicians. Perhaps this is the case.

The owner of the income house, merchant Bilenky, rented it out to the Oleksandrivsk branch of the Russian Foreign Trade Bank. After nationalization, the building was transferred to the Oleksandrivsk Union of Anarchists.

Nestor Makhno visited this building during his visit to Oleksandrivsk in 1917-1919.
