On October 11, 2014, a sculptural composition titled "The Steelworker and the Teacher" was unveiled on Shevchenko Boulevard. Representatives of these professions were immortalized in one of the most famous Soviet films shot in Zaporizhzhia, "Spring on Zarіchna Street". The story of the young teacher Tetiana Levchenko and the promising steelworker Sasha Savchenko became a famous saga about the industrial city and a romantic love story of post-war times. The film also captured historical moments of the construction of the streets of Zaporizhzhia.

The sculpture of the teacher was created by Kharkiv sculptor Eldanis Gurbanov, while the image of the steelworker was the result of the mastery of sculptor Oleksandr Honcharuk.

This sculptural composition became the first on the boulevard, where in the future, sculptures of other professions will be installed, creating a whole "Alley of Professions".
