Khortytski plavni is an area of absolute conservation in the southern part of Khortytsia Island. Many rare species of animals, birds, fish, and insects inhabit the floodplains, as well as many of the oldest trees on Khortytsia, including ancient oaks. Due to minimal human interference, the floodplains have preserved their untouched nature.
When visiting Khortytski plavni, the most important thing is not to disturb the local inhabitants (animals, birds) and to remember that you are a guest in the wild world of nature. To achieve this, it is important to use the specially designed excursion trail in the Protovche area, observing maximum silence and caution.
