Ukrainian Government Building

0 21 0

The Ukrainian Government Building, constructed in 1936-1938, was the first structure in the new administrative complex in Lypky. Since 1991, it has housed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The main semicircular facade of the building faces Hrushevsky Street and Mariinskyi Park. The building's design was developed by architects I.O. Fomin and P.V. Abrosimov in 1935. The building is a striking example of classical architectural principles. The Government Building houses the Museum of the History of the Governments of Ukraine. The museum's exposition narrates the activities of the governments that operated on the territory of modern Ukraine from 1917 to the present day. The museum features original materials related to the activities of former government leaders, including documents, awards, photographs, and a recreated interior of the office of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR. The exposition of gifts received by the leaders and members of the governments of Ukraine as gifts to the state is constantly being updated. Two virtual tours, the Small Government Meeting Hall and the Museum of the History of Governments, are available for viewing in 3D tour mode.
